Darlington schools have access to the Music Support Service for pupils from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 4. Teachers visit schools to ensure that pupils receive high quality instrumental and vocal tuition. There is a small termly charge for this additional tuition. There are many choirs and instrumental ensembles which children can join from beginner to advanced level.

In addition, staff from the service support music provision for all pupils from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4 of the national curriculum through live concerts.
