Educating yourself and learning a trade
Qualifications form the solid foundations of any career and making sure you gain the right ones for the path you wish to take can be a daunting task. At 16, 18 or even at 21 the job of finding the course that suits you can still be confusing. On looking at the qualifications on offer, it is more than clear that
you should be awarded a qualification for working out what the qualifications
mean. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, to decipher the difference
between an NVQ and a BTEC, a GNVQ and AS level, a Vocational A level and
a regular A level and to fully understand which qualifications get you
where. Learn a trade Work that involves getting your hands dirty may not be at the top of
everyone’s career choices - but it certainly makes the old saying
"where there’s muck there’s brass" ring true. Jobs
such as roofing, joinery and bricklaying can be lucrative and offer excellent
rates of pay for those who chose these paths.
