Firthmoor Community Centre
- What's it all about?
We are a registered charity run mainly by volunteers. The building is
open from 9am until 9pm most week days, catering for many activities.
Activities on at the centre comprise mainly of youth clubs, fishing clubs,
home brew club, dancing, cake decorating, educational computer courses
and lots more. The centre houses a community cafe offering a wide selection
of meals every week day from 11.30 until 2pm and Sunday Lunch's. The centre
has rooms which are available for hire for local groups to meet, or for
family parties with a bouncy castle.

Latest News
The 'old' community building is to be demolished next year (2004) to be
replaced by a £1.4 million 'Community Initiative Building' which
will enhance the services we offer to include local government offices
called a 'One Stop Community Centre' - Offering an IT suite, courses,
community cafe, healthy living centre, neighbourhood nursery, advice,
housing office, neighbourhood management office, meeting space - we have
numerous groups meet there - parents and toddlers, over sixties, fishing
club, homebrew club, hairdressing club, line dancing, jazz dance, Sunday
lunches. It will have its own youth centre with a separate entrance, providing
a host of activities!
