Removal of BackWeb Client
So why do I want rid of it?
Backweb is a generic, background downloading tool that software vendors
can incorporate into their product to download data (e.g. product updates)
to the user's PC. Its operation depends on the instructions given to it
by the individual software vendor who bundles it. While this software
has been neither exonorated nor convicted of malice, some aspects of its
installation and operation appear suspect. Additionally, some users have
associated it with the appearance of unwanted advertising windows, and
it also slows your PC down!
It;s quite easy to remove, but it takes some time to get rid of it all...
Click Start, Run.

In the box that appears type in regedit and clink OK
You are about to 'probably' do something you have never done before and
friends will tell you to never interfere with the registry of your PC.
Live and learn!
After clicking OK, the window below will open.

Select Edit, Find and the window below will open

Type in backweb, ensure all the ticks are in as above, now click OK.
The search tool will find a 'key string' containing relevant data for
the running of the program backweb.
Each one is highlighted, press Delete on your key pad, you will be asked
if you are sure, press the return key.

Now press F3, and the search tool will find the next entry.
Again each one is highlighted, press Delete on your key pad, you will
be asked if you are sure, press the return key
It is a long process, but it's the only sure way to rid your system of
the complete program.
Keep pressing F3 - Delete - Return, until you get the following message:

Now you know for sure it's gone!
